For a morality drama to succeed, it must establish good and evil characters. Cattle rustlers, Indians, bank robbers, train robbers, and outlaws are evil. They are in conflict with farmers, bankers, sheriffs, and teachers. The winner of the conflict is the good guy. Remember, the good buy tells the story. Black and white. It’s simpler when there are no gray areas.
