Elba, Alabama

The good thing about living in a small mobile home is before the creek overflows, you can hitch it up and pull it to higher ground. The funny thing is that Elba has no trailer park, while the town has flooded every four or five years in spite of the levee around the town. * Nancy met her high-school friends for lunch every month at the Rabbit Hole in downtown Elba to catch up on their families. It’s a nice town, friendly and traditional, with a farmer’s market, chamber of commerce, Fourth of July and apple pie.
