Linton, Indiana

Ralph didn’t tell people he was Native American. He told his barber at Monty’s to cut his hair like the next guy. The city had a history of racial discrimination. Everyone he knew was a good person, but he wasn’t sure why he ended up here. He knew why he came, but not why he stayed, except houses were cheap and the state DNR had good work for him at the wildlife area south of town.
