Tappahannock, Virginia

Bob Dawes rented an attic in an old three-storey house in the historic district. His avocation was photography, but he didn’t do weddings or portraits or keep a fancy studio. Instead, he photographed boats, graveyards, and old houses. Tappahannock would be a good place for him if he could sell his work, but he seldom sold anything. To make ends meet, he knew a guy who painted houses, so he helped paint houses from time to time.
