Cody, Wyoming

A show cowboy helped found Cody, opening hotels and a dude ranch, and rodeo cowboys and a fictional image of the Wild West keep it alive. Dick was a baggage handler at the airport and appreciated that much of his work depended on the tourist industry; however, to him, it seemed contrived. Only about zero point two percent of the town was authentic, he thought, but that corresponded pretty well to how much most people are different.
