• Some forms of violence
• are worse than others,
• just as locomotives
• are thicker than wheelbarrows.
• Only comic-book villains
• are connoisseurs of violence.
• Real-life villains commit it
• while thinking it’s a form of love.
• But there are exceptions,
• such as martial combat
• and self-defense. I’m just confused
• about the insanity defense.
• Abuse can drive a person crazy.
• You’d need to be crazy
• to commit a cold-blooded murder.
• To inquire about a motive might be crazy.
