Walnut

I have always been fascinated by the fact that the walnut is sort of shaped like a human brain, or so I thought, it was a simplification, with left and right hemispheres connected by its own corpus callosum, but I never thought that each walnut, along with other walnuts from a tree, was anything like a brain in function. It didn’t think, as I did; it didn’t direct limbs or process information from animal senses. It’s true, however, that each walnut contains a program that begins and directs the growth of another walnut tree, which is something my brain, even though it has a similar shape, would never be able accomplish.
