About
The origin of this book
I wrote this book and printed maybe three copies of it in May 1985. It consists of extracts from my journal as I traveled on Amtrack from San Francisco to Chicago, New York City, Austin, Los Angeles, San Diego, and then home. Many hours staring from the windows of the trains:
- The San Francisco Zephyr
- The Lake Shore Limited
- The National Limited
- The Inter-American
- The Sunset Limited
- The San Diegan
- The Coast Starlight
