17: Desire

Do I love you? You tell me, what is love? Not the same as desire but indistinguishable in its effects, I want your body, wholly, not only to be with you, but to be you, pressing lips to lips, inside and outside, and what wouldn’t I sacrifice for the privilege? Grovelling at the altar of love, promising eternity, metaphysical attachment, anything to secure the pleasure and satisfy my need.
