In Genesis, after the flood, the Lord gave Noah and his descendants dominion over plants and animals; however, he said they shall not eat “flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof,” because the blood symbolizes the life, and the Lord reserves the life for himself. He made His covenant to protect every living creature. Every life is sacred.
