Emile imagined cities

Emile learned English so he could read Asimov. If he were good at math he might have been an architect. A city has to be safe and sustainable as well as functional and beautiful. Energy requirements, structural requirements, esthetic requirements waltzed in his mind while he folded clothes at the dry cleaners. Emile considered himself to be as practical as visionary.
