Crown of immortality

If the crown were a rare circle of stars, galaxies, and planets, if it were merely allegorical, a ritual or iconic invention, if it symbolized the kind of immortality that martyrs and poets achieve, granted only to those who make a lasting cultural contribution, if it were acknowledged as having no power to grant immortality, then I’d approve of it. Otherwise, I’m quite sure that no crown exists to secure immortality for whomever it might be given.
