Sick people asked Caṇḍa Ānanda if he could cure them. He said, “I don’t know where to find an eternal gooseberry, and I’m not Jesus.” Nevertheless, a woman named Rajai, who was pregnant and in great pain, said that her pain went away as soon as Caṇḍa Ānanda turned her away.
