Middle Kingdom - Ḫnsw, New Kingdom - P(Ꜣ) n-ḫns.w, Greek - Pakhṓn, Coptic - Bashons. The first month of the season of harvest, otherwise known as the season of low water, is named after Khonsu, the moon god. Khonsu’s name means “traveler.”
