The cypress boat floats on the current. Sleepless with worry, burdened by hidden sorrow. If only I had wine, I’d indulge in revelry. My heart is not discerning; it cannot be swallowed. I have brothers, but I cannot rely on them. I went to complain, only to be met with their anger. My heart is not stone; it cannot be turned over. My heart is not a mat; it cannot be rolled up. My dignified bearing is unyielding. My heart is filled with sorrow, angered by the petty people. I have seen much humiliation, suffered much insult. Thinking quietly, I find clarity in my awakening. The sun and moon rise and fall, their cycles fading. My heart is heavy with sorrow, like clothes left unwashed. Thinking quietly, I cannot soar.
