Our chickens roost in their coop. As the sun sets, our sheep and cattle come down to the barn from the hill. But my husband is away, serving in the army. He should be home with me. I don’t know when he’ll get back. He serves at another’s discretion, not at mine. I hope he doesn’t starve or die from thirst.
君子于役,不知其期,曷至哉。 鸡栖于埘,日之夕矣,羊牛下来。 君子于役,如之何勿思。 君子于役,不日不月,曷其有佸。 鸡栖于桀,日之夕矣,羊牛下括。 君子于役,苟无饥渴。
