I pull your little cart across the cobbles and the fur on my back stands up. I think of you all the time. I try to tell you how I feel, but I can’t speak. I’m afraid of you; I’ll try to do anything you ask me to. You live in the house, and I stay in the barn. When you grow up you’ll realize what pure love and devotion were like.
