Unloved Tom Sharp

Nobody comes to my parties. I chase them down to the river, but lose them among the reeds. My dogs lose their scent in the water. I think I see them on the other side or standing on a sandbar in the middle, but they are unreachable. Nobody loves me, and nobody cares.

蒹葭 诗经

蒹葭苍苍，白露为霜。 所谓伊人，在水一方。 遡洄从之，道阻且长。 遡游从之，宛在水中央。 蒹葭凄凄，白露未晞。 所谓伊人，在水之湄。 遡洄从之，道阻且跻。 遡游从之，宛在水中坻。 蒹葭采采，白露未已。 所谓伊人，在水之涘。 遡洄从之，道阻且右。 遡游从之，宛在水中沚。
