Traveling Tom Sharp

1. A traveler stops at the station, unhappy that his home is far away. He looks at the long bridge— another river he needs to cross. Egrets are naturally royal birds; the full length of the river and the green woods belong to them. The cross over as they wish. 2. I thought it would be good to grow old in Hainan Village, but the emperor called me back to make two words from ten. As I wait for my boat, falcons vanish in the distance. Mountains become plains as the roof of the sky descends.

澄迈驿通潮阁二首 苏轼
