Animal Capability Society

It’s true of house cats and true of other animals as well that they are capable of love. Animals are “dumb” only in the sense that they don’t speak our languages. Many people acknowledge that their pets feel fear, but they also feel guilt, regret, hatred, and love— the whole range of emotions that we too easily attribute only to human beings— and the same is true of wild animals, according to the published materials of the Society of Animal Capability.
