New York City has its share of characters, as do many other cities, but none of them have one like Bad-Mouth Mitch. Mitch looks like everyone else— his clothes, his hair, his shoes, all normal. Only his behavior is alarming. In an elevator, or on the subway, Mitch chooses a target and spews out fowl words before slipping into the crowd. He’ll tell an elderly lady she smells like a dead person. He’ll tell a businessman he looks like dog shit. He’ll tell a child his or her hands aren’t clean. Sometimes he shouts at everyone around him, accusing them of being weak, or pretending to be good. He’ll tell anyone who looks at him they’re no better than he is. Someone caught him on camera bad-mouthing someone and posted the video on TikTok. This was how he picked up his moniker, Bad-mouth Mitch. He’s become an anti hero. He’s always rude. His language is always colorful. He opens his mouth, a bunch of fowl language comes out, and then he’s gone.
