Buddy worked at Arctic Cat. He didn’t drive a pickup truck or wear a trucker’s cap. He knew his company made toys for grown men that can be dangerous and damaging, but he tried to focus on making them as safe and efficient as possible. He didn’t feel responsible for decisions others made; his were basically sound. He kept regular hours and hardly ever stopped at the Dairy Queen on his way home. His kids and his wife had nothing to complain about. * Jill’s husband always called on his way home. He could stop at Hugo’s to pick up anything she needed. She could walk there when the weather was nice, but it was a pain to drag along the kids, too young to leave on their own. During the day, if the weather was nice enough, she took the kids to Lions Park. If they tired themselves out, it was all the better that night.
