Bill Rensell took an apartment at the Hotel Edison. It was convenient since he worked down the street at the county register and recorder. If he hadn’t felt like a relic before his divorce, he would have been surprised by how comfortable he felt living in a historical landmark, the first hotel in the world to be illuminated with Edison’s electric lights.
