Lukas lived in Pivola at least in the winter and spent much of his time exploring the Pohorje Mountains. The mountains are rich in plant, animal, and insect species. The rocks and species told Lukas a story that he tried to understand and never wanted to end. The Romans used to quarry marble from its southern parts but its main rock is granodiorite, the same rock the Rosetta Stone was made of.
