Universal Wealth Temple

It’s true that Jesus taught that a rich man would never enter heaven, even though he owns nothing the moment after he dies. Followers of Universal Wealth, however, are not Christians. They believe that wealth is a sign of God’s favor. They offer a contract and display their own wealth as an incentive for others to sign up. If you make a legal commitment to give ten percent every month to the temple and to obey all the precepts of the temple, then God will make you wealthy, eventually. The precepts, it turns out, are not only strict, but by the rules of the temple are being actively revealed, so that no family or estate of a former member has successfully sued.
