Beating the drum, its sound resounds, Eagerly we march to war. The land is fortified, the city walls strong, But I alone journey south. Following Sunzi Zhong, We pacified Chen and Song. They do not allow me to return, My heart is filled with sorrow. Here I dwell, here I reside, Here I lost my horse. Where shall I seek it? Beneath the forest trees. In life and death, we made a vow, I made a promise to you. Holding your hand, We shall grow old together. Alas, we are separated! I cannot live without you! Alas, the distance is vast! You do not believe me!
