A gentleman and his wife grow old together (literal translation)

A gentleman and his wife grow old together, Adorned with six hairpins of jade. Graceful and dignified, Like mountains and rivers, Their ceremonial robes are befitting. If the wife is not virtuous, What then can be done? How beautiful, how radiant, Is her pheasant-feathered headdress! Her black hair like clouds, She disdains false hairpieces. Her earrings of jade, her hairpins of ivory, Her complexion fair and bright. How like a goddess, How like an empress! How lovely, how charming, Is her embroidered robe! Covered in that crinkled silk, It is a garment of fine weave. Her features are clear and bright, Her face radiant and fair. Such a woman, Is the beauty of the land!
