河广 诗经

谁谓河广？一苇杭之。 谁谓宋远？跂予望之。 谁谓河广？曾不容刀。 谁谓宋远？曾不崇朝。

The river is wide (literal translation)

Who says the river is wide? A single reed can cross it. Who says the Song dynasty is far away? I can stand on tiptoes and see it. Who says the river is wide? It can’t even hold a knife. Who says the Song dynasty is far away? It takes less than a morning to cross it.
