Oh, my lord, so brave and valiant, a hero of the state. My lord wields his spear, leading the king’s vanguard. Since my lord went east, my hair has turned like flying tumbleweed. I have no oil or shampoo, but for whom shall I adorn myself? The rain falls, the rain falls, the sun shines brightly. I long for my lord, even if it makes my heart ache. Where can I find forget-me-nots to plant behind the house? I long for my lord, my heart aches.
