The princess of Qi makes a big show of leaving for Lu. She has four black horses pulling her carriage decorated with pheasant feathers and plenty of lanterns. The road to Lu is dark, winding along the rushing river, but she wants to be admired by people along the way. She wants to be going there, like the river—not to get there.
