Remembering Chen Xiang

When I left, the walls of Linping cowered under the turbulent mountains, but you were the tower on Linping Mountain, welcoming guests from the west and sending them off on their journeys. I’ve been gone a while but the evening wind blows toward home. I can’t sleep; I wake up without dreams. My flickering lamp welcomes the darkness. It stops raining, but my tears remain.
