Fading Tom Sharp

Apricot blossoms have been replaced by small green apricots. Spring has passed by like swallows swooping over the green lake. The catkins of the willow have fallen off; new branches have lost their suppleness. Walking past a garden wall, I hear laughter. A young woman teases her lover. She isn’t concerned about the old man who's on the other side of the stone wall.
