The fisherman

1. The fisherman sells his catch for whatever he can get, and then he drinks as much as he can drink. 2. He weaves back to the dock less in control than his straw raincoat. He wakes up in his boat but doesn’t know where it has drifted. 3. He wakes up from a dream at noon as blossoms and catkins fly about him. He’s still drunk and he’s amused that others continue to struggle. 4. I ride my horse to the river where the fisherman enjoys the gulls and the river of wind and rain. He has a boat, so I ask. I have business on the other side.
