I was in Huangzhou recently. I was walking on the Qi River on a spring night. I passed by a tavern and drank. I got drunk and rode the moon to a bridge over a stream. I unsaddled my saddle and bent my arms. I lay down drunk and rested for a while. When I woke up, it was already dawn. The mountains were crowded together and the water was clanging. I wondered if this was not the mortal world. I wrote this on the bridge pillar. Shine on the fields, the waves are shallow. The sky is faintly visible. The jade horse is still proud of the mud. I want to sleep drunk on the fragrant grass. It’s a pity that the beauty of the stream should not be trampled on. I unsaddled my saddle and leaned on the green willow bridge. The cuckoo sang in the spring morning.
