1. I’m a fisherman on West Lake and find it’s too cold in the temple. I envy the abbot’s room where one stick of incense lasts all day. 2. I lie alone while in the evening a drum beats and in the morning a bell rings. My dim lamp burns quickly out. Raindrops rustle against my window.
一 我本江湖一钓舟,意嫌高屋冷飕飕。 羡师此室才方丈,一炷清香尽日留。 二 暮鼓朝钟自击撞,闭门孤枕对残釭。 白灰旋拨通红火,卧听萧萧雨打窗。
