一叶舟轻，双桨鸿惊。 水天清、影湛波平。 鱼翻藻鉴，鹭点烟汀。 过沙溪急，霜溪冷，月溪明。 重重似画，曲曲如屏。 算当年、虚老严陵。 君臣一梦，今古空名。 但远山长，云山乱，晓山青。

Song of Pilgrimage · Crossing the Seven-League Rapids (literal translation)

A light boat, its oars startle wild geese. The water and sky are clear, their shadows azure and the waves smooth. Fish swim in the algae mirror, herons dot the misty shore. Crossing the swift Sandy Creek, Frosty Creek is cold, Moonlit Creek is bright. The layers resemble a painting, the curves are like screens. Thinking back to the old days, Xu Lao Yanling. The ruler and his subjects are but a dream, now and in the past, empty names. But the distant mountains are long, the clouds and mountains are chaotic, the morning mountains are green.
